## Step by step

1. Open the desired group in a Mac tab.

1. Right-click the tab to open its context menu.

1. Choose the action to split right.

1. Select the groups you want to use in the two panes.

## What to expect

Lognote shows two panes with their own tabs. Switch between them to work with their notes.

## Good to know

Split panes are part of the Mac interface. On iPad, Lognote uses a sidebar and content layout adapted to the screen width.
