Create and switch workspaces in Lognote. Keep groups and Inbox separate, customize their appearance and understand which features require Pro.

Workspaces separate contexts such as work, personal life and projects. Each has its own groups and Inbox. The default workspace is available without Pro; creating additional workspaces requires Lognote Pro.

## Create a workspace

1. On iPhone, open the side menu and tap the active workspace name. You can also open the workspace picker from the Groups heading. On iPad and Mac, use the workspace picker in the sidebar.

1. Choose **New workspace**.

1. Enter a name, for example **Work**. Adjust the available appearance options if you want to.

1. Choose **Create**.

1. Check the active workspace name, then create a group there or move an existing group into it.

Start with one or two groups you actually need. Daily Log and Meetings are useful demo examples; they are not built-in templates.

## Switch workspaces

1. Open the workspace picker again.

1. Select the workspace you want, for example **Personal**.

1. Check the workspace name before adding notes to its groups or Inbox.

Switching changes which workspace’s groups and Inbox you see. It does not move your existing notes. To change where a group belongs, use [Move groups between workspaces](https://lognoteapp.com/en/help/organize-find/move-between-workspaces).

## Name and appearance

Open the picker and choose **Manage workspaces** to edit a workspace. You can also change the default workspace’s name and appearance. “Personal” in these screenshots is a chosen name, not a required setup.

## If something looks different

- **You see a Pro offer:** additional workspaces require Pro. The default workspace remains available without it.

- **Your group is missing:** first check the active workspace. A group moved elsewhere is shown in its destination workspace.

- **An additional workspace is read-only:** check your Pro status. You can still read and export its content, or move groups back to the default workspace.

- **The menu is in a different place:** iPhone uses the side menu/Groups picker; iPad and Mac use the sidebar. The visible layout depends on window width.

Workspaces organize your own library. They do not create shared team spaces or separate accounts. Screenshots use English UI and fictional demo data.
