# Lock Groups with Biometrics

Require enrolled Face ID, Touch ID, or another supported biometric before a group opens.

Premium group locking adds a biometric check before protected content is shown on that device.

## Lock a group

1. Make sure Face ID, Touch ID, or another supported biometric is enrolled in system settings.

1. Open Group info and enable Lock group, or choose Lock from the group context menu.

1. Confirm the change. The group now shows a lock and asks for biometric authentication when opened.

## Open or remove a lock

1. Open the locked group and complete the biometric prompt.

1. To remove protection, open Group info and turn Lock group off. Lognote authenticates before removing the lock.

> Locked-group notes are hidden from Search and All Notes until authentication. This is an access-control layer in the app; it is not a separate end-to-end-encrypted vault or a custom Lognote password.
