# Search and Browse Notes by Date

Search within a group or across Lognote and move through dated Inbox entries.

Search works on the text stored with notes. Date navigation provides a second route when you remember when something happened rather than the wording.

## Search notes

1. Open Search to search across all groups, or reveal Search inside one group to limit the scope.

1. Enter a word or phrase and select a result to open its group or detail.

1. Clear the field or filters to return to the full list.

> Results from locked groups remain hidden until you authenticate. The search screen tells you when locked results may exist.

## Browse by date

1. Open Inbox and pull down to expand its date calendar.

1. Choose a day or use Previous day and Next day to move through the record.

1. For a full monthly view inside a group, open the Group Calendar.
