Let Lognote react when you enter or leave a place on iPhone or iPad.

A Premium geofence belongs to one group and can notify you, create a note, or do both when your device enters or leaves the chosen area.

## Create a geofence

1. Open a group, then open Group info \> Geofencing.

1. Choose Create new geofence and name it.

1. Search for an address, use your current location, or enter coordinates, then set the radius.

1. Choose Entering, Leaving, or both and add the actions you want.

> You can enable or disable an existing geofence without deleting its setup.

## Allow reliable background triggers

1. Allow location access and choose Always when iOS asks.

1. Allow notifications if the geofence should alert you.

1. Keep the geofence active and check its radius if a trigger is missed.

> Geofencing is available on iPhone and iPad, not Mac. iOS ultimately decides when a background location event is delivered.
