Know what stays on-device, what Premium Cloud Sync adds, and what happens offline.

Lognote keeps a local working copy so writing and organizing remain available without a network connection. Cloud Sync is an account-based layer on top of that local-first design.

## Understand the three sync modes

Signed out: your library stays on the device and no account sync runs. Signed in with Free: private groups stay local, while groups you joined can sync in shared-only mode. Signed in with Premium: private Cloud Sync is enabled in addition to shared groups.

Local edits made while offline are queued and sent after connectivity returns when the relevant sync mode permits them.

## Check sync status

1. Open the Sync status indicator to see whether Lognote is synced, working, pending, or failed.

1. Keep the app open and connected while a large initial sync or media upload finishes.

1. Open the detail sheet to review pending or failed work before retrying.

> Files over 50 MB and custom filters remain local-only. A local backup file is also separate from Cloud Sync.
