Android version

IOS is cool, but friends or colleagues like to use Android, so an Android version makes sense so that these people can also use the app. Since I develop cross-platform, this will take little time, but still needs to be well planned.

Obsidian Integration

Option to store notes, or certain notes/folders, in local Obsidian vault folders as markdown. Thus allowing this app to be a simple and instant frontend for Obsidian quick notes and inbox. I don’t think this would be too difficult, and would likely blow this app up as I think that is the biggest hole in Obsidian’s appeal to many.

Real-Time Collaborative Group Sharing

Create the possibility to share a group live with another user. The notes in this group are synchronized in real time with the other editors, so you can work together.

Enter Historical Photographs

Choose a photo and have the program use its date and time as the timestamp for the entry

Aspect Ratio Controls

Allow users to choose aspect ratio of camera to allow for more detailed photographs.

Folder for Groups

It would be very convenient if I could move groups into folders. That would make things more organized, depending on the workspace.

macOS Rework

To make the macOS version feel like a native desktop application, the UI/UX will be completely redesigned to provide a seamless experience.

Set Note Preferences

For example, if you always need location data for every note in a group, you should be able to set it so that every note is created with location data, so you don't run the risk of forgetting to include it.

More Share/Export options

I would like the ability to export selected notes as text to the clipboard so that I can easily use them in different places, such as in an email, document, or in markdown applications that read markdown files.

Enter/Send Toggle

Especially for quick thoughts, using keyboard enter key as send would be ideal. Can we get an option to toggle that functionality? And shift+enter could be newline

Hamburger Menu/Side Menu

In preparation for the new workspace and hashtag system, which will allow users to access certain items or switch between them more quickly, a side menu is being implemented.

Custom filters

You can create your own groups and note lists, e.g. a work list where only groups that are relevant for work are visible, or a list where only notes that are relevant for a specific room in the house are visible.

Revise the Group View

Add new views: Compact (as currently displayed), Tiles (2 columns side by side), and Grid. You can also customize which metrics are displayed in the settings, such as the number of notes, the number of images, when they were last edited, etc.

Text Formatting Options

The ability to make certain text bold, create bulleted lists, etc.

Link Preview and Improved Link Handling

Apple Shortcuts

integration with shortcuts. I would like to have a way to add a log note in an automation. The function could take as arguments the group and the text of the note.

Reorder Quick Notes

It would be nice to have the ability to manually re-order quick notes, rather than have them stay fixed in the order in which they were created.

Apple Watch App

Create and record new notes and voice memos using the Apple Watch. Quickly access them via shortcuts on the watch face, or directly through the native Apple Watch app.

Show average interval between entries

Add a statistic that displays the average time between entries, e.g. "every 7 days", "every 23 days", or "every 1.4 years". This would be especially useful for observing developments and trends over longer periods of time.

Display total number of groups

Improved Sharing from Other Apps

When you share a link, image, or text from another app with Lognote, it's not a smooth experience—this is set to improve.

The ability to add documents as notes

Note Display Options

The visible timestamp is on the left and the note is on the right, but that takes up too much space on the left—and it’s especially distracting with long notes. For this reason, please add the option to place the timestamp over the note, so that the full width is available.

Voice memos

Easily record voice memos and automatically convert them to text, but with the option to keep both and play back the memos in the app as well

Locations on a map

Display the notes that were created with GPS coordinates on a map
