1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Lognote (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Alexander Stolte ("Operator", "we", "us").

2. Description of Service

Lognote is a productivity and note-taking application that provides timestamped notes with second-level accuracy. The App is available for iOS and macOS through the Apple App Store. Lognote offers both free and premium (Pro) features through a subscription model.

3. Account & Registration

Lognote does not require account creation or registration for basic use. The App is designed to work offline without any personal information. Optional Cloud Sync functionality requires a Pro subscription but does not require a separate account beyond your Apple ID.

4. Free and Pro Tiers

Lognote offers a free tier with core features including timestamped notes, multi-format export, groups, search, and more. The Pro tier includes additional features such as Voice-to-Text, Geofencing, Cloud Sync, Biometric Lock, Calendar View, and Location Tagging. Pro features are available through a subscription managed via the Apple App Store.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Pro subscriptions are available on a monthly or yearly basis. All payments are processed through the Apple App Store. Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency in the App Store. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its code, design, branding, and content, is the intellectual property of Alexander Stolte. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal or professional purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App.

7. User Data & Content

You retain full ownership of all notes and content you create within the App. We do not claim any rights to your content. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data. The export functionality is provided to help you keep copies of your data in multiple formats.

8. Limitation of Liability

Lognote is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Data Loss

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we are not liable for data loss resulting from device failure, software errors, or other circumstances beyond our control. We strongly recommend using the export feature regularly to maintain backups of your important notes.

10. Modifications to the App

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the App after modifications constitutes acceptance of the changes.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Germany. If you are a consumer within the European Union, you also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email if available. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
