I’m planning to release Lognote for Android and web in November. I’m doing the final testing now, and I’m really looking forward to getting both versions out.

At the beginning of the year, I rebuilt the entire app in Flutter. That was more than half a year ago. If you’re wondering why Android and web are only coming now, the honest answer is that I needed time to get there myself.

I had a lot to learn

Flutter and Dart meant working with a new development environment and a new programming language. Having the app rebuilt didn’t mean I was immediately comfortable with everything. That took practice.

I kept improving Lognote while learning how to work with it all. I wanted to wait until I could say: yes, this is an app I want to bring to Android and the web, and I feel confident continuing to develop it on those platforms.

That’s where I am now. It’s also why this release feels like quite a big deal to me. There’s more than half a year of work and learning behind those two new versions.

I hope this brings Lognote to more people

Someone with an Android phone should be able to give Lognote a try too. The web version will also make it possible to use the app through a browser.

I’m curious to see whether that makes Lognote useful to people who haven’t considered it before, simply because it wasn’t available on their devices. That’s what I’m hoping for: more people finding the app and getting something out of it.

Final tests before release

The plan is November 2026. I haven’t set an exact day yet; I’m still working through the final tests. I’ll share the date once it’s settled.

In the meantime, I’d like to know: are you waiting for Android or the web version?
