Import, Export & Backup
Create and Restore Backups
Make a local ZIP backup of the database and media, then check and restore its supported contents when needed.
On this page
A Lognote backup is a local ZIP archive containing the database, note images, attachments, and validation metadata. It is independent from Cloud Sync.
Create and protect a backup
- Open Settings > Backup and choose Export database.
- Wait for the archive to finish, then save or share it to a location you control.
- Use Manage Auto-Backups to review the locally retained automatic archives.
Restore a backup
- Open Settings > Backup and choose Import database, or select an available automatic backup.
- Choose the Lognote ZIP and let the app check that it contains a database and metadata with a compatible database version.
- Read the destructive confirmation and continue only if you want the backup to replace the local SQLite database, note images, and attachments.
