Display & Format settings change how notes are presented. They do not rewrite the stored note text or creation timestamp.

Choose a note layout

  1. On iPhone or iPad, open Settings > Display & Format.
  2. Under Note layout, choose Classic, Note bubbles, or Journal.
  3. Use the live preview to compare density, grouping, and timestamp placement.
Mac has its own native Cards, List, and Table views instead of the three mobile note layouts.

Format dates and times

  1. Choose no weekday, a short weekday, or a long weekday.
  2. Choose a system or fixed Date Format and a system, 24-hour, or 12-hour Timestamp Format.
  3. Turn Show seconds on or off and adjust note and timestamp font sizes.
  4. Open Second Timezone, search for an IANA time zone, and select it; choose Off to remove it.
The second time zone is an additional display value. It does not change the note’s stored moment.

Configure note input

  1. Turn on Allow Empty Notes when a timestamp-only entry should be valid without text.
  2. Turn on Minimal input bar to hide the microphone and camera controls while the composer is empty.
Allow Empty Notes is Free. Minimal input bar requires Premium and resets to the standard input bar when Lognote returns to Free.
