Writing & Capture
Create and Edit a Note
Write a note in a group or Inbox, then edit its text and metadata later.
On this page
Every Lognote entry belongs to a group or to the reserved Inbox. The timestamp is stored with the note and the note remains editable.
Create a note
- Open a group or Inbox.
- Select the field labeled New note or Add to Inbox.
- Enter your text and choose Send. A line break inside the field does not submit the note.
- If you want timestamp-only entries, enable Settings > Display & Format > Allow Empty Notes first.
Edit an existing note
- On iPhone or iPad, swipe a note and choose Edit, or touch and hold it and choose Edit Note.
- On Mac, select the note in the list and edit it in the detail pane, or right-click and choose Edit.
- Change the text and save or submit the edit.
